Edible LIVE! Elderflower Tour & Tastings

Join us on Saturday, May 18 from 11 - 2pm at ALBA Ranch in Salinas for a deep dive into the wonderful world of Elderberries with Katie Reneker of Carmel Berry Company!  Light snacks and refreshments (made from elderberries and elderflowers of course!) will be provided.

The Elderberry has a rich history deeply rooted in traditional health remedies the world over. This native superfruit is an amazing immune system booster that has extremely high levels of antioxidants and virus fighting nutrients. The berries & pollen heavy flowers provides nourishment for numerous birds, bees, insects... and us!

Katie Reneker is a graduate of the ALBA. (Agriculture & Land Based Training Association), PEPA program and she will be leading our tour of the elderberry trees in full bloom & talking about how she harvests the flowers to prepare them for their products. We will also be learning about the ALBA programs that played a key part in providing the training and support system necessary to start her company.
