Great on pancakes, crepes, popovers or ice cream!
Servings 4 people
Cook Time 15 minutes

  • 1/4 cup butter or plant-based butter substitute
  • 2 apples peeled, cored, and diced, though they are also great with the peels on!
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg or less to taste
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp Carmel Berry Co Elderberry Syrup [BUY NOW]

  1. Add butter, diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a medium saucepan. Stir the mixture over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, or until the apples are very tender.
  2. In a separate measuring cup, combine your maple syrup and elderberry syrup.
  3. Scoop the apple mixture onto warm pancakes, then top with the elderberry-maple syrup. This recipe makes three servings, and the apples and syrup will keep well in the fridge for a few days if you decide to save some for later.
